Greenfields is the brain child of its Founder and Director Neil Perks, who decided to start his own business in 2006. Neil has vast experience working in the countryside management industry. He started work at the age of 12 years as a farm labourer and went on to study at Agricultural College after leaving school. He then worked his way up through farm maintenance and into management. It was during his time working as a Contracts Manager that Neil decided to go it alone.
In 2007, James Maplethorpe joined the company as a Director, having previously worked with Neil for many years and bringing with him great knowledge and experience. This partnership and close working relationship has created the extremely successful Limited company that Greenfields has become today. In 2023 James made the decision to relocate his family to the Isle of Wight and although he will be missed by the team we wish him all the best for the future.
The last couple of years have seen massive changes for Greenfields with long standing staff leaving, remaining staff members stepping up to fill the roles left and two of our longest standing staff members being appointed directors. We have also welcomed several new members of staff and apprentices to our team. We continue to work towards gaining our ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certification and maintaining our exceptional health and safety record. All of this while we continue to provide the excellent level of service that our customers have come to expect from Greenfields Countryside Limited.
