Fencing Operative

Full Time – Salary based on experience. Greenfields Countryside Ltd are looking for a FENCING OPERATIVE. This person must have experience in all types of fencing and be able to use a post knocker without supervision. This position will provide an opportunity for career progression.
It will focus on fencing but will also include work in other areas of our countryside management business. We’re based in the East Midlands but our work takes us far and wide across the country.

 

Site Operative

Full Time – Salary based on experience.

Works involved are varied and include general maintenance, strimming, planting, fencing, arboriculture, tree felling, tree dismantling, tree removal, stump grinding, pruning, tree & hedge planting, hedge cutting, forestry maintenance, quarry maintenance, ecological and landscaping.

Greenfields Countryside Ltd have an exceptional Health & Safety record and require that all Employees work to our risk assessment, method statements and abide our working policies.

All our work is undertaken to a high standard and we expect this standard to be consistent throughout. NPTC/CSCS Certification is an advantage however the right applicant will be put through the relevant certification.

Health and Safety Assistant

Part Time

Job Description (This list is not exhaustive):
 General Health & Safety administration which will specifically include the creation of Risk Assessments and Method statements for reactive and planned works on a daily basis
 Distribute information, advice and guidance to site personnel regarding Company Rules, Policies and Health and Safety Legislation
 Assess subcontractors health and safety policies and insurances prior to approval and monitor compliance to Company Standards and the requirements of health and safety legislation
 Send and monitor relevant signatory required documentation to enable subcontractors to be on our approved subcontractors list
 Liaise with the Supervisors/Site operatives regarding any health and safety documentations
 To be able to work with and manage appropriately, sensitive and confidential information
 Booking Health, Safety & Environment Tests for site operatives
 Booking 6 monthly and annual LOLER inspections
 Build and maintain a positive working relationship with Croner our External Health & Safety Advisors
 Provide training manuals/pre induction course paperwork/signature of attendance forms
 Booking in Health & Safety Training

Supporting the Health & Safety Manager in the following:
 Assist the Health & Safety Manager in conducting on-site inspections and undertake yearly, monthly and weekly statutory inspections
 Support the Health & Safety Manager in investigating incidents, accidents and near misses, assist in collating statistics and keeping the register up to date
 Assist with the collating of information to enable HSMS (Health, Safety, Management Systems) manual production
 Assist the H&S Manager with promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management
 Assist with keeping Company accreditations and licenses up to date
 Assisting the Health & Safety Manager in ensuring the companies H&S records are kept up to date
 Assist with H&S induction programme
 Provide support in reviewing/updating the internal risk assessments and method statements

Health and Safety Assistant – Personal Skills:
 Previous knowledge/experience of Health and Safety
 Excellent communication skills
 Organised, structured and professional
 Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
 Computer (apple mac) literate with good user knowledge of Microsoft packages
(Word/Excel/Gmail/PDF)
 Strong analytical skills
 Lead by example and promote best practice at all times
 Ability to work on own initiative
